First up, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office has moved to jumpstart its criminal investigation into Donald J. Trump. And that's according to people familiar with knowledge of the matter familiar with knowledge of the matter seeking to breathe new life into an inquiry that once seemed to have reached a dead end.

When I first read that, I thought, oh, the tax fraud scheme. Right. No, this is another lawsuit.

So totally different crime under the new district attorney Alvin Bragg. He's been there since January. I wouldn't call him new.

The prosecutors have returned the long running investigations original focus a hush money payment to stormy Daniels.

Now the district attorney's office first examined the payments. These hush money payments to stormy a while ago years ago before they changed direction to scrutinize Trump's broader business practices.
