Wilbur is locked in the bathroom and he can't get out.

Well, he could, but he won't.

He's locked himself in.

He does this every time his mum goes out, pretends himself into a cell.

The bathroom isn't the only door in the house with a lock on it.

There's the front door too, so he could just lock the front door, but that's cheating,

because then he'd have the run of the whole house, a kitchen with snacks,

and a bedroom with his computer games, and a front room with the TV and big comfy couches.

His dad doesn't have any of that,

so Wilbur won't have it either.

Wilbur hasn't been to prison,

so he doesn't know exactly what his dad has. He's just going by what he's seen on TV.
