My name is Andrew Claudio, and it is time to preview another Knicks matchup this time on Saturday night, again at Madison Square Garden, against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The second time the Nix will play the Sixers in about three weeks.

They played them on a back-to-back right after the NBA Cup in the middle of

December. The Sixers got a pretty impressive win. Vijay Edgecom looked great down the stretch.

Tyrese Maxi looks as good as ever. And the Sixers came into MSG and gave the Knicks their

first loss in quite a while at the time to improve the four games over a 500.

And since then, the Sixers have played, I believe, nine games since then or eight games since then,

and are now four games over 500.

In fact, there's a very interesting cluster in the Eastern Conference standings.

You know how I don't like to look at the standings until after Christmas, but the current Eastern Conference standings are the Pistons, who the Knicks will play

on Monday in a battle for potentially the one seed in January, then the Knicks, then the Boston Celtics,

who are having an impressive 21 and 12 start to their year.

And then there's this stretch, this cluster from the fourth seed down to the eight seed that is separated by one game.

Toronto, Miami, Orlando, our good friends in Cleveland, and of course, the Philadelphia 76ers.

They've had a very up year compared to what they had last year. VJ. Edgecombe has been great. Maxie is an MVP candidate. Then there's the Joelle M. Veed and Paul George conversation. And of course, our good friend, Quentin Grimes, a lot of people are very enticed by the trade idea that I had. I don't, again, don't think it'll happen if the sixes are good. So we'll see how good the sixers remain as the season continues.
