I'm Wes Goldberg from the Mercury News and host of Lockdown warriors here with the

host of Lockdown Heat David Rimmill.

Got a great show coming up. Should the magic blow blow things up we're going to talk about

yonus and his MVP candidacy and a few other things but first we have to start in

New York where impressive rookie Emmanuel quickly finally got to start for the

next Monday night in place of Derek Rose and Alfred Payton, both of whom missed the game because

of injury or protocol and quickly was impressive, I thought thought overall Monday night.

David what did you think?

He looked good.

I think the issue with him is that he's a rookie right?

I mean there are going to be mistakes there there are going to be moments where he's a rookie right I mean there gonna be mistakes there there gonna be moments where he's

you know Doris Burke on the call was saying I like his aggression I like how he's hunting shots and I'm thinking yeah I mean that's that part of it, but it kind of reminds me a little bit of like Tyler here from last year where he raises the ceiling considerably when he's hitting those shots, but there are just moments also where he's a little too aggressive perhaps

and maybe he should look to a teammate to make the right play.

But I think he raises a ceiling for the team so it's exciting to watch him play.

And the big thing is whether or not he should start even

when Derek Rose and Alfred Payton return, right? Because initially he didn't.

They went ahead with Frank Nalakina a couple days ago against Oklahoma City and they yanked him

after just a handful of minutes and he didn't come back until garbage time and quickly

mostly handled those.
