Nix get killed by the Pistons and Carl Anthony Town said they needed a game to knock the cobwebs off.

You know, you see your family, getting the sun, need a game to knock the cobwebs off. Do you ever feel like that in the NFL? You need a game to knock the cobwebs off? You know, middle of the season facing the team that's ahead of you in the standings. You're like your cobwebs knocked off every time you step on the field. You know, like you get, like, you're added a bi-week, and you're like, you know, we can play this division opponent or this conference opponent that's ahead of us in the standings. I kind of do remember the first buy week, the first year I was here. I think we might have had two by weeks in 93. I'm not sure. Really? Hey, Al, Google that and check that out, will you? This is not just being struck. The buys a little bit different than they do now. So the guys, you know, like, let's say you play Sunday, they give you the entire week off. We would never have the entire week off. Oh, okay. Now it was something that was put in the CBA well after I retired. Well, it seems like everything changed well after you retired. Now, these guys are making $60 million a year. They barely practice. You did have two buys. We did. Week three, which seems terrible, and week seven. Oh, week three and week seven. Wow, that's crazy. You had to go through the rest of the year without having to buy. So yeah, maybe you needed an extra day to knock those cobwebs off, man, which was insulting to hear that after the game. I mean, especially, you know, from a guy who's at the All-Star game. Yeah. I mean, I know there was extra time for everybody to go and do stuff, even if we were in the All-Star game.

But, I mean, especially with the way that these guys travel.

But that's insane.

That's just a ridiculous thing to say.

And, yeah, this was an alarming one for sure last night.

But it really comes down to the fact that you think that with the Pistons being healthy and the Knicks being healthy, and O.G. being

better than he was last night, and Carl Anthony Town just being average in a series against the

Pistons, can they win? Does Carl Anthony Towns have to be great in a series against Detroit

for them to win it? And if you believe that that's the case,

then they aren't going anywhere. Or they'll maybe make it to the conference finals and then lose

to the Pistons, but they won't make it to the finals because he can't be great against that team.

Well, they also have to shoot better, too. There's no question about that. But again, you know,

these are games that we actually said when they went to Detroit after they had won, what, nine in a row? Oh, yeah. I mean, I told you. They went like nine in a row and then we're like, all right, they got to go win there. Yeah, but remember I came in that day? So that's a guarantee they're going to go walloped out there. Guaranteed. guaranteed and then and they didn't play a couple
