The Knicks and the matchup with the Hawks on Saturday night, as you were talking about everybody healthy, no excuses, any of that.

0:07.5

Now, I know that there were some Nick fans that were upset with the fact that they don't play anybody, and if they would have won a game,

0:13.8

and the last game of the season, they would have gotten the Raptors who they've been better against than the Atlanta Hawks.

0:19.5

Now, they got a winning record against both of them, but they did beat up the Raptors pretty badly throughout the year. But, I mean, how much of a loser look would that be? If they played all their starters in the last game of the season just to get an easier opponent in the first round, you've got to have confidence in who you are. If you're supposed to go to the freaking finals, and that's why you fired the coach, that no matter who the first round matchup is, that you're going to win it. So I was totally fine with them resting everybody. Everybody would have gone nuts if Jalen Brunson or somebody else got hurt. There was a starter. And they said, why the hell are you playing these guys? So anybody that's complaining about them losing to the Hornets on the last game of the season without any of their starters playing. Just please, stop. And if they lose to the Hawks, it'll be a complete disaster. They should be okay. I hope that it's in five. I hope it'd be great if it was in four. But they're going to be fine against the Hawks, and then things start to get real after that. You know, when I left here last Thursday, I was talking about the Knicks playing Boston on Friday night, and I said if the Boston Celtics come in here, and they play with everybody, Joan Brown, Jason Tatum, and, that they would give the Knicks a handful,

1:28.5

and they would probably beat them.

1:29.8

Lo and behold, it turns out that Jalen Brown doesn't play. Right. So the Knicks win that game, and, you know, it was important, I believe it was important for them to win the game. I mean, it would have been better had Jalen Brown played and they beat them, but, you know, for all intents and purposes,

1:44.0

that's who they're going to see in the second round.

1:46.2

Yeah, and I just like the way that they... played and they beat them, but, you know, for all intents and purposes, that's who they're

1:44.5

going to see in the second round. Yeah, and I just liked the way that they looked because they

1:49.1

continued that same offensive feel as they did when they beat the Hawks against the Celtics. Yes,

1:55.4

without Jalen Brown, it does take a little bit away from it, but I still needed to see some of that

2:00.5

pick and roll action

2:01.5

between Jalen Brunson and Carl Anthony Towns, the chemistry that they had had in the last game

2:06.6

that we hadn't seen a lot of the entire year.

2:08.6

Carl Anthony Towns playing defense and not racking up a lot of fouls, and that's what we saw.

2:13.7

So that's why I'm hell of a lot more encouraged now than I was, because the last two games that they played, they answered some of the questions that we had had throughout the entire year. Now, it doesn't mean it's going to be a cure-roll, and that's the way they're going to play the entire postseason. I'm sure some of these things that we bitch about are going to come up and come up a lot in the postseason. But everybody was screaming about getting Carl Anthony Towns the ball. Why are you not doing that? Why are Jalen Brunson and the Carltonty Towns out on the same page? In the last two games, they seem to be. And those guys were having a blast on the bench together last night. I mean, I just, I think that they're in probably the best spot they've been when it comes from offensive chemistry-wise, maybe the entire year.

2:51.2

I know it's based on just two games, but it's two games more than they had prior to these last two games.

2:57.0

And that was the biggest problem they had going into the postseason.

3:00.7

Two things.

3:01.3

They had a really good solid division record.

3:03.9

They had a good, great solid home record.

3:07.9

You know, better, like right there at the top of the league, their home record was really,
