At the garden last night, the Knicks back from their road trip fell behind by 21, obviously

at home against the underman, short-handed Warriors team, though they did rally and ended up winning the game 110. Al, that would have been what I always tell you about, Nick's home, down 21 to a team that's got another star's, those odds down 21 must have been, I would think, pretty enormous. I was going to ask, like, what is the number you have to get to in the first half where, in the NBA now? Look, what kind of lead? Honestly, 30? I mean, and even that, I'm not even sure about that anymore with the way these guys can light it up. You know what I would say. By the way, they had to leave in the third quarter. It wasn't like the, you know, waiting until the end of the game. I would say at halftime, if an opposing team has like 75 points, that's going to be hard to catch up. It is at 35 after the first quarter. But even the problem with that is, then you see these third quarters sometimes. You see a team outscore the other team. 31 9 yeah it's crazy it's crazy um i want to get one more

from mike brown i played one earlier kind of going after his guys a little bit for the lack of effort

at the start uh this was a little bit more of that i'm talking about the outcome win or loss i'm talking

about the start of the game with a level of focus and level of physicality so that they're feeling us to start the

game.

So he wasn't pleased.

He had a lot to say.

He didn't like having to use two timeouts early.

He didn't award a defensive player.

The game award that he likes to do after victory.

So kind of putting the team on blast a little bit, they will turn around, host the Pacers

coming up tomorrow night.

Carl Anthony Towns talking about the lack of focus or effort or aggression at the start and how they got to clean that up. Again, we found a way to realign ourselves and get back on track and put ourselves back in the game and go ourselves the chance to win. And we did a great job of winning the game today. What do you think you guys can do though? I guess be maybe a little more. Oh, don't play like that. Yeah. I think it's pretty simple. But how real is it for, and there's only one pro in the room, when you know you're clearly better than the other team. I know they were home and it shouldn't happen. the crowds behind them. But I would also think they walk into that game, just thinking they're going to bury the other team.

You think that're going to walk all over this team. Then all of a sudden they start hitting shots or you throw an interception or the other teams run on the ball and your defense feels like they have an interception. And then there's a penalty on the defense. I mean, there's a lot of things that can go on in these games that allow these games to remain

like this.

And obviously, you're a big part of it because if you're not giving your best effort, as

Mike Brown seems to intimate here, I would say that, you know, I would say that it happens more than you realize.

It's a very real thing.
