I'm Emily Strosser.

My grandfather worked on the first atomic bomb, and in 2020, I investigated another man

who helped to build the weapon that would change the world.

Leo Zalard, the scientist who might have stopped it.

But the story didn't end there.

Coming July 9th, the next chapter.

In the meantime, I'll be taking you behind the scenes to meet the team as they unravel

the mystery of the man who stole the bomb.

So my role is creating specific sounds that don't really exist in the real world.

For example, in this series, what is the inside of a nucleus of an atom sound like?

Or what does a chain reaction sound like?

I love the first season of the podcast.

I'd love the idea of telling stories purely with audio.

And working in podcasts isn't something that I've done a lot of.

Actually, this is the first podcast that I've been involved with.

Most of my work has been in feature films.

So what's the difference between sound designing a feature film and a podcast?

We joke a lot in the feature film world that if we do our job right, nobody's aware of

what we do.

And that's sort of true.

I mean, we're a visual species for the most part, right?
