A losing record and unhappy fan base will not be anything to deter us from talking Royals baseball on Kevin Keatsman has issues.

And you know we have Ryan Lefevre on from time to time to talk about the Royals, and it is more than just

the Royals and more than baseball. This time in our conversation with Ryan, did you know his dad

was a TV star? Oh, sure, you know his dad was a major league baseball player, Jim Lefevre, and was a

manager for a couple of teams. But did you know in the offseason, in the 60s and 70s when he played

for the Dodgers,

Hollywood producers and agents asked him to come be an actor on Hollywood sets.

He was a guest on Gilligan's Island.

He was a guest on Batman.

That's right.

Didn't really have speaking lines, but it didn't work that way.

In those days, as Ryan will explain to us, agents were agents. Whether you were Tom Cruise or LeBron James, it didn't

matter. The agents for the stars were the stars to the ball players, the movie stars, the comedians.

Everyone was the same. So in the off season, your agent would help you find some work.

And Ryan Lefevers' dad, long before Ryan was born, was on Gilligan's Island and the original

Batman TV show.

This is going to be fun as he tells the story of watching those clips and learning of his dad,

sort of as an actor.

Plus, we got a lot of baseball to talk about.

Ryan got a chance to have a working vacation. It's a very long road trip, and his wife Sarah joined him on this road trip in Minneapolis, where they have a lot of friends, family members, and such. So it's been a nice road trip for Ryan as the Royals are wrapping up in Cleveland before heading home to take on the Houston Astros beginning Friday night.
