And this is mostly nitpicking a podcast where me and DJ pick apart a pop culture thing by looking exclusively at the details. Woo! Hooray. Hooray. God, we have a movie today. Don't sound so excited. I'm so excited. Not really. I'm excited because there is a lot to nitpick about this movie. Yeah, there is. I just like, hate it. I hate this movie so much. No, you don't. You know what? I don't think a movie has disappointed me more than this movie. Well, but that I was going to say, that's why you hate it. If this movie was just British and American spies, the movie, it'd be like fine. But because it follows up such a good movie that you love more than anything

else, this is just like a kick in the nuts. It's a swift kick in the nuts. I think that's right.

I think this is an otherwise fine movie. I think we'll talk about it, but I think there's a lot

of really specific things that are wrong with this movie that make it super frustrating to just like think

about um i agree but before we get into that dj how was your week have you how have you been

well nando that's a loaded question and while i don't want to specifically talk about politics

in this podcast we're recording this at about like nine p.m.ish Eastern Time on Tuesday, August 21st.

So I was like, I'm just going to ignore Twitter and everything and watch this movie that I don't like. Well, okay. I was wondering about this. Yes. You saw this movie. We should probably say what the movie was. I think people know because it will be the title of the podcast. But, DJ, what movie are we going to nitpick this week? Kingsman 2, the Golden Circle. by the way, I still don't know why it's called the Golden Circle. Like, I know why the movie is called the Golden Circle. I just don't know why the Golden Circle is called the Golden Circle. Well, why is the movie called The Golden Circle in your... Because it's about, like, stopping some kind of drug cartel called the Golden Circle. Right. And then I, I mean, I don't think it makes any sense, but I guess it's like a play on the Golden Triangle, which is the heroin. Is Cambodia a circle? I don't know. I have no idea. It's dumb. It's dumb. It's a dumb movie. And yeah, just for a little background. So it's been almost a year since this came out. I wonder if it came out, like, exactly a year ago. Because I want to say it was an August release. I'm checking right now. Let me look this up. Now, keep filibustering. I got you. It came out. September 22nd, 2017. Oh, okay. So, yeah. So almost 11 months to the day.

And it was like, the first one of these movies, the first Kingsman movie was, in my mind,

like, terrific.

It's still one of my favorite action movies the last, like, I don't know, 10 years at

least.

Like, I just, I think it's funny. I think it's a really tight script. And I think that, and I think it's really, really well shot action. And I think it's got like a point kind of. Not like a point, but it's, it's about something. And I think the thing that kills me about this movie the most is that it's not about anything.
