Neil, Sean, and I have just returned from WorldCon in San Jose, California.

Our third story is titled Kingfisher and is by Robert Reed.

No stranger to Clarksville, he's had 10 stories published by this magazine starting all the way back in June 2014 with

whole. His most recent one, aside from this one, is February 2018, which brought you obliteration. Now Robert Reed has had 11 novels

published starting with The Leashore in 1987 he's had stories appear in at least one of the

annual years best anthologies and every year since 1992.

He has received nominations for both the Nebula Award, nominated and vote upon by genre authors,

and the Hugo Award, nominated and voted upon by fans as

well as numerous other literary awards. He won his first Hugo Award for the 2006

novella A Billion Eaves. His most recent book is The Memory of Sky, by Prime Books in 2014.
