0:07.9

0:16.3

But I'm really excited today to bring a message called Kingdom Prosperity.

0:23.2

And I highly recommend that you would go back and listen to Pastor Vlad's messages on the theology of work, I think two weeks ago.

0:29.7

And then his latest one from last week, I highly recommend listening to those as well because they're powerful teachings. But

0:38.2

today I want to talk about this because this is actually quite a controversial topic, even just

0:42.8

the word prosperity. It gets thrown around in so many ways where it can be, it's just very

0:50.7

divisive. It's very controversial. And it's kind of a heated debate. So I want us to

0:56.7

understand this topic from a scriptural lens, not just taking one verse and building a sermon off of

1:24.2

be wealthy, you're going to be rich. This is a divine right for every believer.

1:28.6

However, we see in the scripture that this view is not fully accurate. Take, for example, John

1:34.4

the Apostle, who wrote the book of Revelation, he was exiled to a barren, rocky island called Patmos,

1:40.8

where criminals were exiled to serve their sentences. He was exiled to this island, and he writes

1:45.4

this, I John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ,

1:51.2

was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

1:56.9

I was in the spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice as of a trumpet saying,

2:02.5

I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, and what you see write in a book and send it to the seven churches.

2:09.5

Well, in this revelation, Jesus says this to the church in Smyrna.
