Summary

America’s rising domestic terrorism movement is not getting better it’s getting worse. We have to look at ourselves, particularly if we’re in the American Christian community, and realize something must be done to start seeding the ground for a different way of thinking. Which is why we’re talking to former US security official and counterterrorism expert Elizabeth Neumann. Elizabeth served as the assistant Secretary for counter terrorism and threat prevention at the US Department of homeland security under President Donald Trump after starting her career in the George W. Bush White House. Now an ABC News contributor and chief strategy officer at Moonshot, Elizabeth has written the book ‘Kingdom of Rage: The Rise of Christian Extremism and the Path Back to Peace’. A literal expert on both sides of the story, Kingdom of Rage is an incredible take rising Christian nationalism, but from a place of belief, and if you can’t understand how devout Christians can also worship Trump and the MAGA movement then this might be the exact book you need to bridge a conversation with yourself and others from a place of love. That wasn't Donald Trump.

0:21.0

That was like one of his Republican minions that just got to do whatever they wanted and

Donald Trump is not competent.

the rise of Christian nationalism and extremism in America, but as we come up on the 4th of July,

1:10.1

we need to talk about how we can't let these self-described patriots,

1:14.0

strip our country of everything that makes it special in the name of a god that the founding fathers deliberately

1:19.9

kept separate from our founding documents.

1:26.6

there shall be no religious tests for any office or public trust in the Constitution,

or follow it up with including no law representing an establishment

of religion or permitting the free exercise thereof in the Bill of Rights because they

were a bunch of atheists but mostly because they were men of faith. The framers included

these statements because they believed in what Thomas Jefferson referred to

as the separation of church and state. It wasn't so much to protect the
