And as a Christian, I'm there at the helm.

I could take the boat in any direction I want,

change the direction of my life if I want to.

But Jesus is there just out of my line of sight,

gently saying, you know, Jerry, there are shoal waters to port,

a bit more to starboard.

And if I can listen and plug into him,

then I will stay off the rocks and head in the right direction.

Well, welcome everybody. My name's Simon Gilbo and this is inspired. And this week, I'm

very excited to have my good friend with me, Jerry Marshall. Welcome, Jerry. Hi, great to be here.

So Jerry and I go back about 20 years. We met through the New Wine Network. He retired but found

retirement too boring. And so

he's recently taken on the leadership of transformational enterprise network. And even this last summer,

he very kindly let me loose on his canal boat without much training. And that was one of my

highlights of experience the summer was going to this massive lot andanging around and the kids completely freaking out seeing Daddy utterly out of control.

Luckily it's solid steel and there's not much that can go wrong so yeah you're not

the only person that's borrowed it's lovely to be able to share it.

Honestly it does go down as a as a summer highlight. Anyway, that was just a

reflection of your generosity in general, and you are, I don't know how to describe you, a sort of

serial kingdom entrepreneur. And there's a whole lot in that, which will come to. So anyway,

Jerry, let's get into it. Welcome. And yeah, so go back. You had an unusual childhood, didn't you?

Well, I suppose so. Of course, it seemed perfectly normal at the time. But yeah, I was born in Kuwait. My dad, I think, got a taste of the Middle East in the war, protecting the Persian oil fields, and my mum came out for a bit of adventure, I think, as a medical secretary, and they met, got married, had three kids, spent 20 years there.
