0:12.2	Alright, I have good news for you. There is a God. He's a good God. He's a God in
0:17.2	rules and reigns who knows the future has good plans for his people and tells
0:22.4	you the future so that you can live backwards. If you know what the future holds,
0:28.4	you know what to do on your way into the future. The Bible calls this prophecy.
0:34.7	25% of the Bible was prophecy. God revealing the future that he is ruling in
0:40.9	advance. And that's exactly what we're going to study today in Daniel chapter 8.
0:46.5	If you brought a Bible or you got one on your phone, find Daniel chapter 8. And this
0:50.6	is arguably the greatest, most amazing, insightful chapter of the entire Bible.
0:58.4	And I am really, really honored that you would give me this opportunity to share
1:02.6	the Word of God with you. To set up the book, the book is part of the Bible. That is
1:08.4	how God primarily speaks to us. He wrote through human author 66 books in a
1:13.8	library. We're in one of those books, Daniel. It has 12 chapters. We're taking one
1:18.7	chapter a week and looking at it in great detail, verse by verse. When we jump into
1:24.5	Daniel chapter 8, the book was written about five or six hundred years before Jesus
1:30.1	walked on the earth. So we are now, roughly, 2,500 years removed from Daniel. This is
1:37.4	ancient literature, ancient history, ancient prophecy. The human being who is
1:44.7	kind of the focal point in author is Daniel, as the title of the book would suggest.
1:50.4	When he was a teenager, his nation is real and the temple with the presence of God, where
1:55.4	the Word of God was kept and the worshipers of God met, it was sacked and overcome by
