Welcome back to the podcast. I hope you're having a fantastic summer. I'm delighted to share part two of my interview with iconoclastic Los Angeles prosecutor John Lewin. Today's episode returns to the

subject of Mr. Lewin's prosecution of real estate heir Robert Durst. And just to give you some

background, Robert Durst is widely believed to be the one

responsible for the disappearance of his wife, Kathy McCormick Durst. Kathy has not been seen since

she dined with friends in Greenwich, Connecticut on January 31, 1982. When an investigation

into Kathy Durst's disappearance heated up in the year 2000, Durst began to kill to cover up Kathy's disappearance.

First, killing his close friend Susan Berman on December 23, 2000, and then going on to kill, dismember, and dump the body of his neighbor, Morris Black, in Galveston, Texas.

Durs' high-priced attorney Dick Dugarin was able to successfully bamboozle a jury into acquitting his client of the murder of Morris Black in 2003,

and it looked like Susan Berman's murder might go unsolved until the documentary entitled The Jinks, aired on HBO in 2015,
