i didn't think it was a big deal and then last night i did get caught up in the moment not just

because that's someone i did a good job with it but you really could feel the special nature of that moment and the home run from Pete Alonzo last night. But it got me thinking, and we've talked about this many times the last couple of years, we've been paired together here. I don't think that there's any way the Mets could let Alonzo walk. Like we've been down this road before, as recently as this past off season. After now breaking that record and having that record on his own, you know how much the fan base is in love with Pete Alonzo. I don't care what David Stern's values or not. I don't think there's any way Steve Cohen lets Pete Alonzo walk after last night. Well, first of all, congrats to Pete.

That was all. I even enjoyed it.

You know, as much as we talked about this moment, we don't really get moments. It's not 500 home runs, but we don't get moments like this too often. You know, like when Ewing passed Clyde for the old time franchise scoring lead. Like, look, I love that stuff. I think it's awesome. So last time was a great night. And think about this way, too. It held how the record was held like, basically my entire life as a Mets fan.
