I invite you to turn with me to Titus and to chapter two, and we'll read the second chapter.

Paul encourages Titus as he pastors in Crete in the first century to make sure that his people understand the importance of good

deeds accompanying the story of good news. And we read from verse one of Titus chapter 2,

but as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith,

in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior,
