So today's topic, I've done the last several episodes on clinical topics, and again,

But Julie had shown me a video or clip of the Northwestern University commencement.

But the governor had done the commencement, and he said something which I thought was profound

And what he talked about kindness and cruelty.

And they're, you know, they're part of the human experience.

And he said something, again, I don't know if these are his words or he was referencing

someone else, but I thought this was what he said was, you know, the smartest person in the room is the kindest.

And I thought, what a brilliant statement that that, it was independent of race, of color,

of political opinion, of religious affiliation.

It really, you know, strutely. opinion of religious affiliation, it really struck me because I try to live a life of kindness

and of gratitude. But in this field, especially doing psychopathology and diagnostics, I've heard the stories of

cruelty, sometimes very overt, sometimes covert, sometimes very passive, but I've seen the
