A bomb blast or a spray of gunfire, an ambush, an attack.

Suddenly the people who are trying to cover the casualties in the conflict zone are casualties themselves.

What happens in that moment?

And what is the recovery like?

talking about the story behind the story.

And that's what we're going to share today.

It's Thursday, Mark 17th, and several journalists have been killed in Ukraine this week.

Documentary and Brent Renaud was shot dead Sunday.

His colleague Juan Aaron Dondo was injured.

And then on Monday a Fox News crew came under fire outside Kyiv.

At first we only knew that correspondent Benjamin Hall was injured.

We heard that his crew members were missing but did not report that out of deference to Fox.

Out of respect for the families.

Then on Tuesday came the terrible confirmation that veteran Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakshevsky

had been killed in the incident, along with producer Sasha Kuchanova.

Hall suffered severe injuries and he has now been taken out of Ukraine.

And there's a lot we don't know about his condition.

And again, that's a matter for him and his family and the network, given his privacy.
