It's only just a matter around. Because morning just won't do dance. You don't have to know how to ever since, ever since we've got you late. Welcome to Middays, I'm Susie Larson, so honored to get to spend this time with you.

In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk,

the deep in your understanding of God's Word, that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, you know, many of us have friends,

kind of different spheres of friends, you know, those inner court friends that are just kind of,

you do life with. Maybe there's other friends that you don't do life with on such a regular basis,

but when you know you catch up with them, you see them, it's like no time is past. You can go right to that place of just intimate conversation.

Then there's those acquaintances or friends that you really love, but maybe you don't trust

them quite as deep as you do those people that you just know have your back and you have theirs.

Well, some would say, no, I actually don't relate to that at all.

I'm quite lonely. I don't have friends. I hear

that from people. And it's heartbreaking. And my guest today says this. She says, in this age of

limitless digital connections, we're somehow lonelier than ever. This isn't just sad. It's dangerous.

Listen to this. Loneliness puts us at greater health risk than smoking or obesity. But she says we'd sooner label ourselves overweight than admit that we're lonely.

It's a secret that's killing us.
