In the 1970s, Seymour Hirsch exposed the Miliy massacre. Richard Nixon's domestic spy

program, and he helped bring down a president with his journalism. Decades later, Hirsch blew

the lid off of the torture at Abu Ghraib. Now, he's written his memoir, Reporter.

Was anybody more of a gangsters than some of the leading people who conducted the wars

we had? We had gangsters all of our life in our society. And some of them were senators

and some of them were, you know, secretaries of defense, who were some murderous, murderous

people. On Thursday, June 21st, Seymour Hirsch will be our special guest at a live show of

intercepted, taking place at the music hall of Williamsburg in New York. We'll also be

joined by the lead ACLU attorney, fighting the Trump and ICE deportation and family separation

machine. And by educator and prison abolitionist, Mariam Kaba.

Especially if you're liberal and progressive, stop calling for people to be locked up every

day. Everybody shouldn't be going to prison. That's the point. Stop playing into those ideas

that every time something happens, your first inclination is to think about the prosecution

and court system as the way to solve that problem. The evening will also feature a live performance

from the Iraqi Canadian hip-hop artist, Narcy.
