I'm Michael Silverblad, and today my guest is Kim Deich, and I have a special guest as well, Art Spiegelman, to introduce him.

Kim Deich is the author, the artist, most recently, of the Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

It comes from Pantheon Press, and I am kind of happy.

I rested an interview with Art Spiegelman about the second volume of Mouse,

and we became friends.

Now, when I go to New York, I'm frequently at his house where I am the happy recipient

of things thrown at me, the first issues of Chris Ware's, Jimmy Corrigan series,

all sorts of things that he feels that I should know.

And then, at a certain point, a bunch of color Xeroxes of the work of Kim

Dyche, who, although he has had collections in comic book form, mostly from Fantagraphics,
