Now, do you remember the case of Kim Davis, the former county clerk in Kentucky, who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples?

And that came after the Supreme Court's 2015 decision, the Oberfell v. Hodges, which allowed same-sex couples to legally marry.

And that was based on that marriage is a fundamental right, and same-sex couples have that right.

Okay, ever since then, there has been a huge move to overturn that among conservatives.

And Davis has fought her case for years, and she has directly asked the court to undo that decision.

Now, this is a pretty conservative court. For example, it overturned Roe v. Wade, and there are

conservative members of our society who have said, okay, Roe v. Wade was overturned.

How about the same-sex marriage rule?

Now, what the court does is it grants certiori, which means it grants someone's ability to be heard
