for episode 461 today is a trip report with Kim who just did a solo trip to Disney World and I'm

always excited to have these solo trips because I think they introduce people to a style

of travel they might not have thought of otherwise. So I love that. I did want to mention something

in the intro that kind of comes up in this interview, which is that I think there is sometimes a misconception that the reason that I do a

pre-trip and a post-trip is to see if they can match, but it's actually the opposite. The

reason I do the pre-trip and the post-trip is to show what your plans are and then to show how

they had to change and how all of the learning and research and everything that you do can really help with that

because you have to pivot, you have to be flexible, all that kind of stuff. And so I just wanted to

mention that in case there is any confusion over the format and the goal of it, because the goal

really is to show that things don't go according to plan, but your planning can definitely pay off

if you have the need to be flexible, which most of the time you do. So I don't think I have anything

Hi, Shannon. Thanks for having me. We're talking on Saturday, April 19th, and you're headed to Disney World's

in, right? Yes. I am going down next Saturday, April 26th, and I'm coming home that Wednesday, April 30th.

Okay. How did you decide to travel during these dates? So I'm taking a solo trip. My husband's a teacher.

He has school vacation that week.

So it allows him to stay home with the dogs.
