I am your host, Jennifer Fessler.

You guys, today is a hard one. We are diving into the haunting and deeply emotional documentary

into the fire, the lost daughter. This one, deaf, I've lost a lot of sleep over this one.

It tells the true story of a mother who plays her daughter for adoption as a teenager.

And only to learn decades later that her daughter had mysteriously disappeared at the age of 14. So what begins

as a missing person's case quickly unravels into something far more disturbing before her

disappearance in 1989. Now, I'm going to say her name a million times the wrong way because it's spelled A-U-N-D-R-I-A.

So they changed her adopted parents change it to Andrea.

I don't know.

That already makes me hate them.

But anyway, so Andrea had accused her adoptive father, Dennis, of sexual abuse, allegations

that were never fully investigated at the time.

And shortly after she vanished, the case went cold for years. So leaving her birth mother

without answers. And anyway, she ends up, this unbelievable woman, Kathy, she launches her own

investigation, and she teams up with this, like this the sleuth that's what they call him like a

dedicated web sleuth and they what they uncover is chilling horrifying and fascinating also i have to say

but anyway it's um they just bring all this renewed attention to this cold case and starts to expose other cold cases. And anyway, I am so excited to talk to the executive producer. Her name is Nile Capello. And I have a lot of questions. I need a lot of, a lot of questions. A lot of things answered. I need to sort of wash out a lot.
