In May, we covered the case of Corey Richens, the Utah woman who published a book on grief,

to help her children deal with the death of their father, who she is now accused of murdering.

Now, New Court documents suggest that she tried to manipulate her family into testifying falsely

when the case goes to trial.

Legal analyst Josh Ritter joins my producer Julie to discuss the shocking evidence found in Corey's jail cell

and how it might impact the case.

So Josh, we're going to talk about a case that I am certain we will be discussing again in the future.

So news came out that during a conversation she was having with her mother when they were in the prison

and she put up a letter against the glass that was between them.

She put up a letter to her mom explaining how her brother should testify, how he should lie to them.

So what does all this mean?

It's like witness tampering. Is that correct?

Absolutely. It appears to be witness tampering for sure.

It's nothing new that inmates will attempt to surreptitiously communicate with people who are coming to visit with them.
