Heemeyer had a history of disputes with local government and businesses, feeling they were corrupt and conspiring against him. After being fined by the city for using an illegal septic tank, Heemeyer decided to get revenge. He reinforced a bulldozer with concrete and steel to make it bulletproof. Inside he installed monitors so he could see outside through bulletproof glass portholes. On June 4th he drove the bulldozer through town, destroying buildings belonging to his enemies - the city hall, newspaper, concrete plant, and others. SWAT teams and police were unable to stop the bulldozer. After over an hour of destruction across town valued at $7 million, Heemeyer drove into a store basement and got stuck. He then took his own life inside the rig. The event was dubbed the "Killdozer Rampage." Things I Learned Last Night is an educational comedy podcast where best friends Jaron Myers and Tim Stone talk about random topics and have fun all along the way.
