What's going on guys, Alex here. Luke 1427.

Whoever does not bear his own cross cannot be my disciple.

I want to talk to you about dying to self.

It's something that I talk about a lot at House Church and also an Amen podcast.

And even this morning, right, I'm upstairs.

I'm getting stuff ready for this video. My oldest

son comes in talking to me about this Lego dinosaur. And then I start engaging with him and

talking him about it. Next to you know, I walked downstairs and I'm like, what was I doing

again? I just forgot my tripod upstairs. I had to go back upstairs. And in our garage,

the stairs are really sketchy.

And so the least amount of times you need to go up and down these stairs, the better.

But even, you know, another example, this is just examples from today.

Because people ask me all the time, Alex, what is it like having six kids?

It's like dying to yourself every single day because

dead people don't get to do what they want. Dead people, they don't even get to want.

And most of the time, me and my wife, like, we don't even get to want things anymore because

we're constantly taking care of, you know, six kids. Like, I was studying for the next episode of Aeman podcast.

I was taking some notes. And my old, my second oldest son, lying, he's like, can I go get Luke?

He's awake. And so he gets Luke out of his bed. Luke comes out of his bed. His diaper is about

to explode, you know, because he's been drinking, you know, bottles of milk. And so I change his diaper and then I get back to writing my sermon.

Five minutes later, he poops, which I was grateful for, because if he would have pooped in the diaper that was already full of she-she,

which is what we call urine in our household,
