A man on Twitter told me to put on some makeup.

I posted a short video promoting the first episode of a podcast I've

been working on for months. Nothing glamorous. Just me talking to camera, telling people about

something I was proud of and excited to share. Specifically, his comment was, Jesus, put some

makeup on. I don't wear makeup.

For special occasions, sure.

But otherwise, it's too expensive, too much of a hassle.

I think I look better without it anyway.

Oh, and I was globally vilified and lost years of my life to prison

because I was accused of being a femme fatal who weaponized her appearance and lured men into raping and murdering her roommate for kicks.

It's taken me a long time to stop letting accusations leveled at me by prosecutors and the tabloids dictate how I show up in public.
