On this episode of the Imagineer Podcast, we head over to Disney's Animal Kingdom to take a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris, the cornerstone attraction at the park that opened on April 22, 1998. In a rather special episode, I'll take you back 11 years ago to ride on one of my last safaris working as a Cast Member on the Disney College Program at Kilimanjaro Safaris in 2007. 0:56.6	cast member on the Disney College program in 2007 and as a seasonal cast member in 2008 and 2009.
1:06.2	It is one of my favorite attractions for that reason. I have so many memories working there. And in today's
1:13.1	episode, I want to tell you a little bit more about this attraction, about the story, some fun
1:18.5	facts you might not know. And of course, I will take you on a very special on-ride audio of

1:34.6	The Imagineer podcast. Kila Mujaro Safaris opened its doors to the public with Disney's Animal Kingdom Park on Earth Day, which was April 22nd in 1998, which makes
2:03.7	this attraction, as of the time of this podcast recording, close to 20 years old, which is so
2:10.2	hard to believe because I was there around the time it first opened during a soft opening
2:16.8	preview and had the chance to ride Kilimanjaro
2:19.8	safaris in its original version. What's incredible about this attraction, aside from so many
2:26.0	other things, is the size of this attraction. It is one of the most expensive attractions
2:32.7	to maintain in the world and is larger than the size of
2:37.8	the Magic Kingdom. Just want you to wrap your head around that fact. This single attraction
