Summary
It was an eventful 250th celebration of our country on Saturday. Unfortunately a mass shooting broke out on Coney Island after the fireworks display, leaving 4 children and 4 adults shot, one woman remains in critical condition this morning. Just a few miles away, the iconic Brooklyn Bridge caught fire during the massive fireworks display over the East River, firefighters were able to put out the flames fairly quickly, but it was an alarming scene in the middle of the show. And over in Washington D.C., the main event, Trump’s rally speech was delayed until 11pm after severe storms threatened the area, forcing an evacuation of the huge crowd that had gathered on the mall, with organizers asking thousands to seek shelter.
