This is 99% Invisible. I'm Roman Mars. 99% Invisible is a radio show and podcast about

design, architecture, and all the thought that goes into things most people don't even

bother thinking about. Through the generous support of our listeners this show that started

as a side project I made in my bedroom at night has become one of the most popular podcasts

in the world. And I think the thing I'm most proud of is that the new episodes are getting

better and better. Thanks largely to the addition of our producer Sam Greenspan, who your generosity

allowed me to hire. Season 3 brought you stories about the radio broadcast clock.

You can wake us up in the middle of the night and we can be like 59, 5, 28, 12, 28, 128,

like 748. The epic reversal of the Chicago River. You gotta see this. You know, this town

is amazing and they'll do anything to survive. And the life changing places that feel like

they were designed just for you. We're like walking through a field and came upon a spaceship.

Even though they totally weren't. Leave. Admire its beauty but leave. Don't stay here. Leave.

Now for season 4 we want to take another giant leap in the evolution of 99% Invisible.

We want to go weekly. We have amazing stories to tell. And Sean Cole, who is the best reporter
