It's your boy, John of the Macri, with you for another episode of the Nix Film School podcast.

Coming at you on a Monday after a long Thanksgiving weekend in which the NICs started off not so good and finished off pretty darn good.

And we come to you, obviously, celebrating how the Knicks finished off the weekend with

the Hawksbren.

We're going to talk a lot about that and all the ends and outs of that game.

But we also come to you with a bit of a heavy heart because as I introduced my wonderful co-host

Jeremy Cohen, I also do so with much thanks and praise and admiration for him for even

showing up and recording this podcast today. And on that note, I will turn it over to to you jeremy and ask uh how are you doing

thanks john um been better it's uh it's been tough i i lost my grandfather on thanksgiving morning

and um it just hasn't been the easiest few days, for sure.

You know, we, we're, I've been really blessed to spend as much time with him as I have.

You know, this is a, he's going to be 97 in a few weeks and survived COVID, multiple

cancer scares, you'll be drowned, almost got into a plane crash.

I mean, like, he basically had nine lives, and he was just a really special person who I cared

about deeply and he cared about me.

And, you know, he just, he was so influential in terms of my education and learning.

When I was in high school, he had to print out a list of SAT words.

And he only to memorize them.

And for each word that I got correctly and their definitions, he would give me a quarter.

And I thought I was ripping him off.
