We've got to talk trades today. The 49ers have added a defensive

and Jordan Willis from the New York Jets and Kyle Shanahan confirming that

wide receiver Dante Pettis is on the trade block. More on that. Let's start with the injury report and

there was one surprise name that popped up on the injury report today essentially and

that is Jimmy Ward. Strained his quadricep muscle at Thursdays practice, didn't practice

Friday and is now out Sunday. So the 49ers will be without both starting

safety, Jaquasquasquasque tart, not playing, didn't practice all week with his groin injury, so Tarverius more,

likely will get his first start of the season at free safety for Jimmy Ward, then we'll find out,

then we'll find out what the-time-a- during camp, so maybe a dark horse to even start if he gets called up to the active roster after
