| 0:00.0 | Welcome everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. I'm your host, Justin Boone. |
| 0:17.9 | Always appreciate you joining me, especially when it's the week that the scores 2021 fantasy football draft kit is going live. |
| 0:26.0 | That's going to happen on Thursday. |
| 0:27.8 | We also got some big news to talk about. |
| 0:30.0 | And I mean, losing a potential star running back to an Achilles tear in July, yeah, I'd say that definitely qualifies as big news. |
| 0:37.2 | So we're going to go over what the future holds for Cam Acres and what that injury is going to mean for the Rams and for Darrell Henderson's value and all that. We'll give you the latest on Aaron Rogers situation. We're getting closer to that being resolved one way or another. I mean, at least I hope that's where it's going to go here. We're going to find out, is he going to show up? Are they going to trade them? We don't want this to linger on too long, but we are going to also talk about some of the biggest training camp storylines that were interested aside from the Roger stuff, the other ones that we're interested in as well. Last week, we went over the position battles. This week we're going to open it up to really anything. |
| 1:12.7 | Whatever storyline has our interest peaked heading into training camp. |
| 1:15.8 | And I keep saying we because I found this guy who was moving last week and he kept |
| 1:22.1 | skipping out on making his picks in our dynasty startup. |
| 1:25.2 | So I figure we're going to put them to work this week we'll |
| 1:27.8 | make them make up for it our old pal Ian Hartitz you know him you love them at I |
| 1:33.1 | heart it's on Twitter all his works over at pro football focus mr. Hartett's first things first |
| 1:39.0 | I got to say man congrats on the big move we all know moving sucks so I'm glad you got through |
| 1:43.8 | that and it's good that it's done right before training camp and the preseason bury us Congrats on the big move. We all know moving sucks, so I'm glad you got through that. |
| 2:01.3 | And it's good that it's done, right, before training camp and the preseason bury us at this time of year. So congrats on that. Welcome back to the show, buddy. How are you? How'd the move go? How you been? Thank you, good sir. It's great to be back. Always enjoy talking ball with him, man. Moving is never fun. This is the first time of my life, though, where I'm getting the benefit of, you know, a nice little moving bonus from the company, and I'm only going from Columbus to Cincinnati, which is about an hour 45. My previous moves were Columbus to Chicago, Columbus to Connecticut. So in the grand scheme of things, this was far easier to kind of deal with but yeah moving's never fun it was a rough uh 9 a m to 9 p.m. |
| 2:20.7 | stretch last Friday. Unfortunately, I did get skipped on one of the picks, so I had to come back and get 2-2 at well a couple of picks later than I probably would have wanted to. So my apologies to yourself and the rest of everyone in there. And, you know, I will try. I'll take a personal, you know, hell shot for getting clocked out. I'm just teasing. I mean, it worked out for you. Two, too, too. It wasn't a bad pick at that point in the draft. And yeah, we just were treating it NFL style, right? Like the next person up can just sprint to the podium and get that pick in and jump ahead of you. So it all worked out. Was it 0.7 when the Vikings missed their pick? |
| 2:53.4 | Exactly. |
| 2:53.8 | Two teams ran up there. Unbelievable. Exactly. You were the Vikings in this one. All right. Well, let's talk a little bit about this dynasty draft. Before we move into the news and the other stuff, we're in the 23rd round right now. Superflex. I've talked about the last couple weeks here, deep starting lineups. You had the 10th pick. |
| 4:17.3 | You waited a little longer than most to take a quarterback. I think there's only one team that held out longer than you. But give me your thoughts here just on the draft and how you're feeling about your roster so far. Always scary going, you know, a little bit zero R being super flex. but I think it worked out. I waited until rounds five and six ended up with Kirk Cousins and Baker Mayfield, who I just get, you know, higher on by the day. I feel like the more I look at what he's already been able to accomplish in these first three years and what could be in full now that, I don't know, he could actually have a healthy wide receiver one and being the the same offense for a couple of years. Like this Baker, it's almost like people are so disappointed still in 2019 they don't realize what he could be capable of. So I get it. QB is not the absolute strongest, but I'm feeling good, man. It's funny, as much grief as I, you know, gave Jonathan Taylor and these, you know, Cam Acres versus Jonathan Taylor off-season arguments, which the amount of time I wasted on that looking back, just absolutely ridiculous. But what can you do? Ended up with Jonathan Taylor and Joe Mixen as my top two RBs. And man, a couple injuries away from just blowing up a running back. I got Hunt, Madison, Paul, or Jamal Williams, just a bunch of guys that, again, you know, I think some of the premier handcuffs in the game. |
| 4:23.0 | Wide receiver got Hopkins, Mike Williams, Tyler Boyd, OBJ, and the crown jewel. |
| 4:26.4 | My wide receiver won Dynasty Land, Justin Jefferson, so feeling good there. |
| 4:28.4 | This is not a tight-end premium league. |
