All right, Sean, in part two of today's show here on the Irish Breakdown podcast brought to you by Fandul.

We are breaking down what Notre Dame needs to do to write the ship on offense and on defense.

Now, here's a preface for everybody.

We're not going to sit down and we're going to talk about fire this person, bench this person, get rid of

this guy. Because honestly, those are emotional responses. They are. And I honestly think to some

degree, they're a little lazy because we need to dive into what do we need to see moving forward

to truly say, hey, they've turned the corner. As impressive as some of what they did against Purdue was, at the end of the day, it's Purdue.

You beat a team that you were supposed to beat.

And on offense, it looked like how it was supposed to look.

But I'm not ready to say, you know what, they're back.

They beat Purdue by 26.

Let's ride, get Notre Dame into the playoffs, and they're going to take off and run with it.

So working with the premise that Notre Dame still has a shot to make the playoffs because they do,

then we're going to be in a spot where we can look back at some of these keys on offensive defense and say,

okay, they got some of these things corrected.

And, Sean, where we're going to start today is we're going to talk on the offense.

And the first thing, first and foremost that they have to do is they need to fix their pass protection.

It looked better against Purdue at times.

But once again, in another game, we saw a free rusher go untouched, get to CJ Carr,

led to their first non-scoring drive of the game.

So what does Notre Dame have to do on offense?

Step one, it's fixed to pass protection, Sean.
