This week, I am happy to welcome my friend Tori Jay into the studio to talk about a new song with me.

Tori, you are one of the two hosts for Sounds of Survivance, which airs on Sunday nights, Monday mornings from 3 to 5 a.m.

It's an indigenous music show, and we are so excited to have you here to share a song with us. What did

you bring today? The song I wanted to show is on a superposition by the Chicago-based,

hmm, it's funny with snooze because I've heard them called Mathcore. I've heard them called

Math Rock. I've heard them called Happy Metal. I've heard them called Math Rock. I've heard them called

Happy Metal. I've heard them called so many things. But, you know, as any artist would say,

they're snooze. And they're from Chicago. And this is from their album. I know how you will

die, which came out in April this year. I saw that they are self-proclaimed happy, heavy,

mathy, a happy heavy, mathy band from chicago absolutely

that sort of encompasses everything you just said right yeah yeah and if you take one listen if you just

spend a i think the album runtime is like 52 minutes if you just sit there for 52 minutes and you hear

then you'll hear all of that technicality. You'll hear all of the

catharsis that is given weight by that. Yeah. How did you discover snooze? Actually, they're one of

those bands that has been recommended to me in the past, but I just never got around to listening to.

But then, funnily enough, they had a lot of crossover or like a lot of fans in the Prague metal subreddit.

And so again with internet stuff.
