And this week, I am so excited to talk to my friend, Goyri, who's a DJ here at K-E-X-B. Gori, hello. Thank you for joining. Hey, B, thank you so much for having me.

0:22.7	Well, I'm so glad you're here, and I'm hoping you can tell folks a little bit about yourself, the show you host, so on and so forth. Totally. I host El Sonido with Goiri, which goes on the air every other Monday. I alternate with Elvina Cabrera and I play independent music from
0:41.3	Latin America, from Iber America. And yeah, it's really cool because we play a lot of new releases,
0:47.7	a lot of new music and we have a lot of fun doing that. And you started kind of after we started broadcasting in the Bay Area because you're
0:57.3	located locally, right, in the Bay Area? Yep, we broadcast live from the KQED building here in San Francisco.
1:04.3	And yeah, I'm part of that very cool San Francisco Bay Area team. Tell me, you also work doing some other things in music,
1:13.1	don't you? Yeah, I run a non-profit independent radio station here in San Francisco called
1:19.8	Psych Radio. And I'm very proud of everything that we've done here in the Bay Area. I have a music
1:27.2	label called Syc Records.
1:29.7	I run a film collective here in the San Francisco Bay Area called Syc Films. And now our new
1:36.5	adventure is an editorial press called Syc Press in which we're going to be supporting
1:43.0	literature from the Bay Area.
1:45.0	Well, speaking of Syked Records, you have a song that you're going to share with us today,
1:50.0	and I believe this is an artist that is currently signed to your label. Is that correct?
1:55.0	That is correct. This is Cosmic Kitten. They're from San Pedro, California. They've been around for around seven years now, and they joined psych records a year and a half ago,
2:07.6	and I think they're killing it right now.
2:10.6	They just play a breakout festival a couple of months ago, by the way.
2:14.6	Tell me how you got to work with him.
2:19.3	What drew you to work with Cosmic Kitten?
2:21.7	I think their sound, their grunch 90s sound.
2:26.3	I'm a 90s kid myself, so I grew up, you know, with MTV and all that kind of stuff.
