And it was released just about a month ago.

Silica Gell are an indie Korean rock band. I first heard about them

and actually met them in Seoul on a trip to Seoul last year. A lot of the music that I've

just been able, just fallen in love with, has come from bands that I've gotten to personally meet

and, um, see, and from scenes that I've been able to witness. Um, and this song is amazing. It's just

like intense and fun and like, very electronic and digital at while at the same time rocking.

I have had a lot of fun listening to this song.

It's a really fun song.

What can you tell me about Silica Girl?

They're a four-piece group, and they right now are just top in the charts right now

in the Korean indie music scene.

Last year they won at the equivalent

of like the, you know, Grammy's music awards, best new musicians out of Korea. And, you know,

when I talk about, like, a gal, I also feel like I have to talk about just this, like, rise in the Korean indie music scene in general.

When we think about music from Korea, oftentimes, K-pop comes to mind.

And, you know, while we can't deny the impact that K-pop has had around the world, It's definitely overshadowed some of this great

independent music that's happening right there in the outskirts of town, in town. So I went to

this Korean music indie festival called Zandari Festa last year, where they were headlining
