Hey, you know what? Let's let's get your take on the defense. So I looked at the numbers last year.

Third, allowing just 304 yards per game this year so far. They're basically giving up 375. That's 29.

Last year giving up 20.2 points per game. That was seventh this year 28.5. That's 31st.

How do you wrap your brain around that the defense was supposed to be maybe even better this year with a healthy chase young and draft the manual forps.

Yeah, I thought it would be. I mean, I think a lot of people thought it would be was a very good defense last year by almost all the advanced metrics. It was a top 10 defense last year.

And yeah, I mean, that's the NFL, you know, defense good offense is more sustainable in today's game. Defense tends to have, you know, more variance year to year to it.

And it's a it's a it's a bad year now. Keep in mind they've got three wins and two of them really were defensive wins. The cardinals win and the giants win. That's not saying much in terms of the teams they played.

But they were outstanding in both of those games and they were pretty good in the Atlanta game, not the giant scheme. I meant the Atlanta game.

The Atlanta game and the cardinals game. But yeah, it's a major major disappointment. And you know, there's going to be a whole new regime here in a few months.

It's going to take a swing at it next year and we'll just will find out which players are left because I would imagine some are on the move.

Kevin, in your opinion, who's been worse? Ron the head coach or Ron the head of personnel for the commanders? I think it's pretty close.

Well, he's a different head coach here than he was in Carolina because he's got both responsibilities. He was much more engaged as a head coach and less of a CEO head coach at Carolina.

And I think that there are some things that Ron has done here. He's changed a little bit the culture of the locker room.

They've looked for a certain type of individual to bring in. But he's not been a good coach here. There's no doubt about it.

Yesterday's indecision on the Devante Smith catch was so costly. And the explanation just was like from a guy that has borderline kind of checked out.

That's a harsh assessment of it. But how can you not with your entire sidelines screaming at you to throw the red flag on a ball that clearly hit the ground on a fourth down?

Like there's no guarantee he wins that challenge. But there is a guarantee if he doesn't throw the flag, the Eagles keep the ball like 20 yards further down the field. That was such a key moment.

Also Kevin combined with them racing to the hole. So you wouldn't do it. Like that's all the clues you need.

There was a moment last week that drove me nuts. There was a play clock that was winding down on a third and five.

And he was just sitting there completely oblivious to it. Most head coaches you see sprinting towards the referee to call a time out.

It was in the first half. And remember last year they could barely gain a yard, let alone 10 yards against the Giants.
