All right, time for our first edition of the year of our NFL power rankings. We'll do our

top five and then a team or two outside the top five that we think will bust in to the top

five at some point this season. And it can be a team from, you know, the back of the pack. It doesn't have to be a team right on the edge of the top five right now.

So my top five, I'll count them down five to one.

The fifth best team in the NFL right now,

the Washington football franchise known currently as the commanders.

Washington, number five in my top five rankings.

I have never debuted Washington in the top five of my NFL power rankings.

Number four, their opponent tonight, the Green Bay Packers, which is why, hence,

the game tonight is the biggest early season game that Washington has played in years.

I've got Green Bay at number four. At number three, I've got the Baltimore Ravens. Wow, what a game last Sunday night.

Certainly a game they could have won.

Number two, I've got the Buffalo Bills with the incredible performance they put on.

41 to 40.

Both of those teams are going to be really difficult to stop.

And number one, I've got the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Philly did, I thought they looked good. I thought they looked clean.

I thought both of those teams for the first game of the year looked clean.

Dallas and Philly. It was pretty much a high level game,

with the exception, of course, of, you know, the long delay that they had, which, by the way,

affected the TV ratings. 28.3 million watched that game. That's a very good number for the
