Malar took me back to show me where the video room was and how they break down video, and then we'd get a call from upstairs saying, you can't show them that stuff, what you're doing and everything else. And he told me the story, the infamous story of the little Jack Daniel's shots before. Crown Royal. Yeah, well, yeah, the Crown Royal and everything else. So, yeah, we got... We had... Yeah, I got the cold. Did you get crap for that? That's a good question. Oh, boy, did he get crap for that? What happened after that story leaked out that you told Dan about you guys doing the shots? Oh, no, it was no big deal. I landed there's 300 text messages. Saying that, you know, I'm going to get in trouble from, I think, mothers against drunk drivers, promoting, you know, young kids' youth with alcohol. I'm like, really?

I'm like, and then once again, I dropped a, really? This is what we're dealing with? Like, no one played drunk. You can't hit a 95-hour fastball drunk. David Wells never pitched a perfect game drunk. It's a great story, but it's not true. You know, I'm saying? So it was just, you know, it lasted about 11 minutes.

You know, once I talked to Peter Gammons. I'm like, Peter, what, he's like, oh, geez, don't worry about this. This is the way it's going to be sometimes. So have they completely sucked the fun at a baseball? I mean, when you look at, you know, I think it's Bryce Harper, who's kind of joked about this before, but when you kind of look what these guys are going through and how they're monitored on social media and how critical people have become, would it be fun to play in this league anymore or even as close as it was when you were in? Yeah, of course it is. It's the big leagues. So I don't fall for that. I don't fall for taking the fun out of baseball, whatever that means, right? That to me sounds haterish. It's the big leagues. It's fun. You tell me it's not fun making $25 million a year in major league baseball because someone says, oh, you can't flip a bat or unbutting your shirt all the way down. There's a way to play baseball. I don't care who you are. I don't care what generation it is.

So I think we lose that. There's respect of the game. People are like, oh, that's just the old time. No, that's the way it is. You can do whatever you want. You can do a 360 at home play if you want after you single. There's going to be repercussions if you're facing the wrong pitcher. that's the way life is.
