It wasn't that pretty wasn't. No, it was not. So look, jumping right into it. what happened this week with Kevin McCarthy, who's lived his entire life trying to be Speaker of the House, and he flamed out? So what exactly happened? How do we end up here and who's the speaker now?

Well, the short answer is that the House GOP is basically ungovernable.

They don't want to be in the majority. They're not built to be in the majority because being in the

majority necessarily involves governing, which means compromising and especially

when you've got Democrats in control of the Senate and the White House. And that's just

not why a chunk of folks in the House

GOP came to Washington, but they're there to make a point. And they did that and they

got ready to Governor McCarthy after nine months of his

speakership and look he tried to play with them at every turn and he bought himself

some time in doing so but you know this day was always going to come because that fundamental issue of
