Now, of course, we all grew up in Maryland and he was the head coach of the Washington Bullets from 86 to 88, but won a ton of games as a coach for several teams in the NBA.

Yeah, how are you doing, guys? How did you do it this morning?

Hey coach, I was thinking about that bullets team yesterday when I learned that you're going to be on the show.

I didn't remember all the characters, but and maybe you could talk about something. You coached some characters there.

Yeah, John hot plate Williams, I believe, was on the team.

You had Manuke Ball, you had Michael Adams, Joe Malone, Moses Malone.

And we had a lot of players that trying to put a group of players together was not easy because I always felt that guys that a lot of players I had at that stage were a little older, some of them were relatively not over there, but going down a little bit.

Right.

I think the toughest thing for the coach, I think, is all for any organization is to have very, very good or great players that are slipping.

And because the players never never realize that that is good as they used to be, I do that's a tough assignment.

Were you aware of it at the time?

Well, I understood it. Yeah, I mean, you've got to remember I played for 11 years, so I could understand the situation with players.

Right.

So I was aware of it, but it makes it more difficult because first of all, they don't play, they don't practice as hard.

They don't, you know, they get in the situation that they still think they can do things that they can't do anymore.

And then it makes a little tougher on the coach.
