It's the Power to Morning Show. I'm Zach Calverson. I'm so excited because Kevin Cronin of Aereo Speedwagon is on the phone.

Kevin is bringing the Kevin Cronin band to Treasure Island Resort and Casino. They're going to be playing all of the REO Speedwagon hits.

In fact, most of the band is from Oreo Speedwagon. We'll get into the name change and all that in just a little bit.

But first of all, Kevin, I'm so happy that you are here. I've been listening to you my entire

life. And as much as I love you as a musician, I almost look to you more as a teacher

because a young Halvey back junior year of high school is trying to figure out what the heck

all these emotions were and was up late one night

I was listening to the radio and can't fight this feeling came on and I realized as I was listening

to lyrics that I was connecting with what you were singing and then I realized oh my goodness

I'm in love and so you taught me not only about what love was, but also just the power of music.

And I just can't thank you enough for what you have done for me and what you've done for

music fans all over the world. Your career is incredible. And it's so awesome that you are

coming back to town here on

Saturday.

Well, Zach, that's a heartwarming story there, man, because it, but, and what's weird

about it, you know, as a, as a songwriter, at least what I find that, that usually the songs that that that I write have you know I was in

the same place that you were what when I was writing that song I didn't I didn't know what I was

writing about you know I was just in a you know I was the same way I had a lot bottled up

inside of me trying to make sense of it.

And that's what music has always been for me.

It's been that outlet that, you know, when things are just overwhelming or, you know,

when emotions just kind of, like you say, they kind of, they can be confusing,
