Do you know, I mean, do you really know God loves you? Well, my guest today writes this. Here's

a tragic reality. Very few of us see God as deeply in love with us, calling us else all else to love him deeply in return instead our walk with Jesus is full of duty fear and shame many of us not only are discouraged but have simply checked out so hear this son or daughter of God you and your story are invited by Jesus himself into the mysterious lifelong embrace of his love.

You know, one of my go-to passages is 1 John 416, and it says this, and so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

And that word no translates into an experiential, intimate, abiding kind of walk with God. To know this love,

as Ephesian says, is to be filled with the fullness of God. And the more that you know it,

the more you can rely on the love God has for you. Well, Kevin Butcher joins me today to talk about

his book, Free, rescued from shame-based religion, released into the life-giving love of

Jesus. And I'll tell you, I've been on radio 15 years, so I've done a lot of interviews. And once in a

while, there's someone who just stands out to me over the years. And Kevin was one such person.

We talked years ago, but one of his other books could not wait to get him back on. And he's got this great new book, and I'm excited. In fact, I should
