I mean, do you really know God loves you? Well, my guest today writes this. Here's the tragic reality.

Very few of us see God as deeply in love with us, calling us above all else to love him deeply in return.

Instead, our walk with Jesus is full of duty, fear, and shame.

Many of us not only are discouraged, but have simply checked out.

So hear this son or daughter of God.

You and your story are invited by Jesus himself into the mysterious, lifelong embrace of his love.

Are you ready to find freedom?

You know, one of my go-to passages is 1 John 416, and it says this,

and so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

And that word no translates into an experiential, intimate, abiding kind of walk with God. To know this love,

as Ephesians says, is to be filled with the fullness of God. And the more that you know it,

the more you can rely on the love God has for you. Well, Kevin Butcher joins me today to talk about

his book, Free, rescued from shame-based religion, released into the life-giving love of Jesus.

And I'll tell you, I've been on radio 15 years, so I've done a lot of interviews.
