0:19.8	So if you noticed, I'm here recording out of New York because I am here in New York
0:25.8	for a three-week workshop of the musical that I am co-writing, that was going to open
0:33.8	two years ago and now is going to open in late April.
0:39.2	But we're experimenting, we're doing a workshop just for ourselves, like to see it with
0:44.7	the cast, see it up, and figure out what's working, what's not working, and these two years
0:52.3	we've had the opportunity to make it more layered and have it be a little more depth to it.
1:03.1	And so anyway, that's been really fun and interesting and sad in some respects because
1:10.3	we don't have Adam with us.
1:12.5	But my point is I'm in New York and I'm right around the corner from my high school best
1:18.5	friend, my best friend since high school, and I've been getting to spend time with her,
1:25.4	and I just want to talk about her a little.
1:28.2	My best friend since high school, Kerry, if you read the bedwatter my book, you will know
1:32.4	that she is the one who taught me, make it a treat.
1:37.1	She came to visit me, she was at Howard and I was at NYU the one year I went to college.
1:43.2	And we were smoking pot and then we wake up in the morning and I rolled another joint,
1:47.7	I light it up, I hand it to her and she's like, uh, no thanks, and I'm like, why?
1:52.2	And she's like, just because you can smoke pot all the time now because you're at home,
1:57.5	doesn't mean you, like don't be like that all the time pot smoker, make it a treat.
2:03.8	It's not even going to be fun if you spend your life smoking weed, you're going to just
2:06.9	be a stoner, smoke pot as a treat.
2:12.7	And for me, it's like expanded to like everything in my life, make it a treat.
