Thank you for having me, Debbie. So East Coast Girls, I'm talking to you. You're in Santa Monica,

California, and your book takes place in Montauk, which is way closer to me here than you all the way

over there. So how did you end up writing a story that takes place a lot in Montauk, or at least several trips there? And tell me about, like, writing the book in general and what it's about. Okay. So, well, first, I'm from New Jersey. So I did move to the West Coast, but I'm from New Jersey. And my dad has a house in East Hampton. So I spent my summers there since I was about 16, and it's a very meaningful place to me.

So that's how it ended up taking place in Montauk.
